Matucana intertexta KK1316 MG970.55 7/11/21
This Matucana, like my other Matucanas, has been sporadically blooming since spring. Many cactus keepers think that the brown crud on the plant is due to a plant too long in a small pot. I agree. I used to think it was maybe mite damage, but mite damage, in my longer experience, tends to start at the apical meristem of the plant, where lots of rapid cell growth is happening. (025/112)
