Echinocereus pectinatus wenigeri ctenoides L704 MG191.37     4/21/21
The E. pectinatus plants all have large showy flowers. The name above may become just plain E. ctenoides. It might be true that it has 44 genes, vs the common 22 of E. pectinatus and most other cacti. Elementary modern biology: if two taxons are related, they MUST have the same number of genes. I don't care how many taxonomists swear on the grave of Carl von Linne that genes have nothing to do with taxonomy.   (17/56)
