Mammillaria plumosa (Newman's 2015)     11/29/20
Another reliable short day length flowering Mammilaria. This goes on for a couple of months in the Winter. One day, five years ago, I was in Newman's Nursery in Santa Fe and stumbled across a large batch of really good looking young cacti. I was so impressed, I bought about 50 of them. (The were only $3 each, I think.) This is the only survivor of all those plants. Pretty poor job on my part, maybe. So if you buy a cactus and it dies, maybe it isn't your fault. I'm still trying to figure out how I killed so many different cacti.   (47/48)
