These are the only three survivors in my care. I want to test the notion in the books that the genus of Melocactus stops growing once the cephalium ( The fuzzy and pink-flowered thing) starts to form. I'll keep you posted. I think that this might be an evening/night blooming species. I've seen pictures of open flowers, but I never saw any. But I think I only looked in daylight.   (17/48)
