Uebelmannia pectinifera     3/25/20
My friend Steven Brack, the founder of Mesa Garden, thinks that I'm more than a little crazy for trying to grow this species. You're looking at one of three plants grown from Mesa Garden seeds that I bought about 17 years go. The biggest plant is somewhat larger than my fist, and I haven't tried to purposefully stunt any of the plants. This may be the cactus species with the smallest flowers for the biggest plant. The flowers are about 0.25" (6 mm) across. No matter. All are interesting.   (05/48)
