Echinocereus fitchii armatus JS47 MG216.6     5/30/18
This is a very late flowering of this individual. My 20 or so other plants of this species flowered a month ago. I used to think that there was something unusual about how my many plants had a late flowering period. Some kind of effect of being captive in pots, I thought. Then I figured out that probably the wild populations did the same thing. I wasn't there to see it because I was home seeing it in my collection. Incidentally, I kind of wonder if this species is misnamed. I keep on seeing it as another E. reichenbachii. Any opinions out there in cactus land?   (22/72)
