Echinofossulocactus crispatus N87.016 MG298.36 2/22/18
This is a kind of theme in this current mailing of flowers - cacti can flower at a very small size. This plant actually had been in a 1 inch cube of soil (2.54 cm cube) until a few weeks before I took this picture. Had it been in the pot you see - 2" on a side (5 cm) - I don't think it would have flowered. In my experience, you can force flowering to some degree by stressing the plant. But not too much! (04/72)
