E. stramineus seeds, after pressure wash
I hang the tea egg in the airstream of the fans in my greenhouse to dry the seeds. Good seeds are black. There are lots of brown patches among these seeds. Brown seeds tend not to be viable. This is probably due to poor fertilization by whatever species provided the pollen. Incidentally, black seeds are also not necessarily viable. I’ll have to actually sow these seeds to figure out if hybridization occurred.   (39/40)
